So I just discovered that I cannot find many of my documents using the Finder app on Mac. I can see the files when I use my iPhone and some of them when I use an app like Pages but cannot find them using the Finder app whatever word or extension combination I use. Help please!

Have you checked iCloud? If you can't see them in Finder but you can see them with your iPhone then they are on iCloud.
