You need to be more specific.

'XML' is a structured document language - basically a standardized way of storing structured data in a consistent, machine-friendly, human-pseudofriendly manner.

As such, an 'XML file' could contain absolutely anything - literally, an XML file could contain image data, text, nuclear detonation codes, DNA, or your grandma's apple pie recipe.

At its heart, though, XML is text, so the simple answer to your question is to use Numbers -> File -> Open and select the XML file. Numbers should be able to read the text and import it into a spreadsheet, but since you're asking here, I'm guessing that isn't sufficient.

In order to help Numbers understand the data, you're going to need to provide more details on the structure of the XML and what's in the file.

Let's start by ascertaining that the contents of the file is something that makes sense to import into a spreadsheet. Can we at least say that?
