How can I get rid of the Stocks app?

Every time I start up my MacBook Pro, I note that the Stocks app is active. It's not something I'm ever going to use, and it annoys me more than it probably should that Apple thinks I need it. I don't. I'd like to delete it permanently, but am not sure how without going into the code (which simply fills me with absolute terror).

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.0

That Stocks app is installed as part of the macOS package. It cannot be deleted.

Right -click (or Option-click) the Stock icon in the Dock and select Options.

Make sure that Open at Login is not check marked.
