Finding good 27" monitor for mini

Right now I have an iMac that I want to replace with a mini. My external monitor is an LG UltraFine, and I'l like to get a second one to match it. However, Apple has "simplified" the settings for displays and I can't find the precise model of that monitor anywhere. (There used to be a complete listing of all attached hardware, with full model IDs, but that's gone.) Does anyone know how to find a specific model of a monitor?

I have an external 27" LG UltraFine monitor. I know that many monitors work with the mini. That isn't the issue. All I want to do is find out the exact model name/number of the current external monitor so I can purchase an identical one to go with it. For the life of me, I can't figure out where the MacOS is hiding this info. It used to be available as a list of attached equipment through About this Mac. The info was very specific (down to manufacturing date ...) Now About This Mac that does is open System Preferences, which isn't particularly helpful.

It sounds like you want to buy another 27" LG UltraFine monitor to match your existing one. That information is not in Mac OS. Simply look on the back of the existing display for the model number and then Google it or look on Amazon to see if it is still sold.

Looking on Amazon for "27" LG UltraFine monitor" I immediately found the following:

https://www.amazon.com/LG-27MD5KL-B-Ultrafine-Compatibility-Thunderbolt/dp/B07XV9NQSJ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1PPNJZQSW51XW&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.mTnjmmMT9aAIXl1rrmthYpkRgujDS503bpcj6dr15jbQm14JVJvWjZqcrAJfVOZxtZHseALDfGty5pKJKQ_bCr2eiDb8g7m7j9WuixIdBoJbLu4MaBCdxaDj0ORV9spo5BbGZPuCXJMFpnGVKXXXcm851MXboU6n92KipnfZQvIUQnvV-gkFgq1g1giO4O_knWX3siUG6uD_OaK07KsgHqnT_hB_Zp2JzIBwJWN0-yk.JBFlUIm5jPiRo5zE2C7IVry0X7ENyxNlI59ESYpBDwI&dib_tag=se&keywords=lg%2Bultrafine%2B27%2B5k%2Bmonitor&qid=1730942242&sprefix=27%22%2BLG%2BUltraFine%2Bmonitor%2Caps%2C189&sr=8-1&th=1

The one place in Mac OS to see if there is info on the display is in the System Information app. To launch System Information, just open Spotlight and type the name of the app and it will launch.
