Image Capture worked fine on my previous Mac Pro. Bought a new Mac Air and Image Capture doesn't see my printer/scanner? The printer is recognized by all other apps. The device is listed in my system settings and is on-line. What am I missing?

Have you checked whether an ICA driver is installed or available for the printer/scanner in question?

Printer/Scanner: HP Officejet Pro 9600. The printer is connected to my home wifi. I can scan when I use HP Smart App. and print using any software. Do not remember what iOS I was using on my old Mac Pro. Currently using Sequoia 15.1 on my new Mac Air M3.
A scanner driver may be needed.
