Is there a way in Pages to reapply formatting like the 'format painter' feature in Word?

Microsoft Word has a feature, Format Painter, that allows you to apply the formatting of one text area to another text area.

There is no built-in feature and toolbar icon to accomplish this in Pages. There are two alternate methods:

Copy and Paste Style: You can copy the style of selected text and paste it to other text in your document.

  • Select the text with the formatting you want to copy
  • Choose Format > Copy Style from the menu bar
  • Select the text where you want to apply the style
  • Choose Format > Paste Style

Paragraph and Character Styles: Pages allows you to create and apply custom styles, which can be a more efficient way to maintain consistent formatting throughout your document.
