The New Orange Microphone Indicator in Sonoma is Interfering with Audio Hardware and Cutting Out Audio

This is a dire bug that has lead me to buy an new audio interface when I didn't need to. It seems the problem is effecting the music community since the MacOS Sonoma update. In this update a new microphone icon appears when an external interface is plugged in and begins glitching and randomly turning off the audio interface. This is a painful issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible! Many examples of this throughout the internet.
