This almost when read is threatening and suggest I have to surrender my devices if I do not agree? That I can not update my apple products or use my phone or watch or any other device?

Here you go. You can also review the previous terms for iOS going all the way back to iOS 3.1 and they all include the same language. Pretty standard with any licensed software stating if you do not agree, then don't use it. The device is useless without the licensed software to run it.

P.S. You can also view the same language for Mac OS going all the way back to 2013, the very first Apple Watch, and every other device.

You own the phone, but are only licensed to use the software on the device so you must agree to those terms in order to do that. If you do not agree to the terms of the new software then you should not update. If you did update the software and do not agree to the terms, then you should not use the device with the software installed. If you purchased a new device with the software already installed and don't agree with those terms, then it is recommended to return the phone.

The same is true for other device manufacturers. For example, you can buy a Samsung phone, but you only license the Android software and must agree to the licensing terms in order to use it. This even includes TV's now where users on a Samsung TV have found they cannot use features of the software such as AirPlay unless they agree to the terms first. On my LG TV, I had to do the same thing to use their WebOS.

I’m at the same view as you are, it’s quite odd to specifically point out that these terms and conditions are absolutely necessary to be accepted in order to use the product. We’ve never seen that so explicitly stated before, at leastnot too my knowledge.

Obviously, I’ve stayed clear of their conspiracy notions that you’ll find floating around Reddit and other such forums I’ve come to the source. I sure hope somebody clarifies this for us.
