What is an Apple Pay charge? Apple Pay is a payment service. The funds are withdrawn from the payment method (credit/debit card) you choose, when you make a payment at a merchant.

Are you referring to something other than Apple Pay? Are you confusing Apple Pay with Apple Cash or some other payment service? Can you explain in more detail what you’re experiencing? Thanks!

If the merchant hasn’t submitted the charges, they will typically show as pending. When the merchant closes the batch (finalizes) the charges are submitted to through merchant’s credit card processor to the credit card (bank).

Merchants can hold finalizing up to 5 days typically, but in a few cases longer. Major merchants, think Walmart etc., can get lower processing fees and potentially save $millions over the course of a year.

This is just the way merchants and credit cards work. If you need further explanation please post a reply.
