I mistakenly deleted Numbers from my Macbook Pro

Running macOS Catalina 10.15.7 on a Macbook Pro (Late 2012) I tried to open a file with Numbers and I got a dialog box "This file can't be opened right now". I got frustrated and mistakenly deleted Numbers. I went to the App Store and tried to re-download it but I got "Requires macOS 10.14 or later." Am I out of luck here?

No, you're not out of luck.

Launch the Mac App Store on Catalina, and log in with the same Apple ID as you used for the previous installation. Press cmd+0 (zero) to open the Purchased panel, and if Numbers is there with a blue cloud download icon, select that. A dialog will then offer to install the last compatible version (11.1) of Pages for Catalina. Do not click Cancel in any dialog.
