iPod Nano Gen 6 - completely baffled

I have just resurrected an iPod nano 6th and I wanted to tidy up the contents. However, there seems no way of deleting anything that's on it. I have followed the instructions but nothing I've tried seems to work. I cannot seem to find any usage documentation for the iPod Nano 6th gen. I'm using iTunes on windows 11, both latest updates.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks , John

Since you haven't mentioned what these instructions were that you followed, we have no idea why it didn't work.

But if you connect the iPod to iTunes (and iTunes recognises it) one of two things should happen:

    1. iTunes will synchronise with the iPod if it recognises it. In other words, if the content on it is from that iTunes installation
    2. if the content on the iPod is from another library, then iTunes will ask you if you wish to remove all of that connect and replace it with what in your current iTunes Library

So the first step is what happens when you connect the iPod to a computer with iTunes installed? Does iTunes recognise it?

If iTunes recognises it, what steps did you take to do anything with it?

Note that you cannot use iTunes to copy music from the iPod back into your iTunes library.
