Apple Pay refund not received from Lyft

I reported a refund for 33 from Lyft it’s been over 48 hours and Lyft said I would get a refund in the Apple wallet it says status is cleared which I don’t understand because it’s nothing in my Apple Pay

The Lyft Support team member had little to no understanding of how Apple Pay works. When Lyft issues a refund, the funds will be deposited or credited to the account that you used. The availability of your funds generally takes 7 to 10 business days from when you received the notification that your request was approved by the merchant.


Apple is not a bank and has nothing to do with transfer of funds or issue of refunds. When a merchant approves the refund, funds transfer from merchants bank, through their credit card processor and to the bank that issued your payment method (credit or debit card).
