How do I remove copilot from MS word? I do not want its assistance.

Recently, an icon for co-pilot has appeared in MS Word on the tool bar and it is there whenever I start a new line. I find co-pilot irritating and I do not want it in my documents. Or any other application. How can I remove it from my Mac? I got a Mac partly because of privacy/security.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.0

CoPilot is a Microsoft service that they include in their apps if you choose to use them. You can either contact Microsoft or quit using their App. Your Mac does secure your information and you choose what you want an app to access. For example, if Microsoft wants access to your contacts, you will see a message asking you if you want to grant that access. If you allow them access to your contacts, then you have to trust them that they are going to use that information responsibly. At that point you have given permission to Microsoft and Apple won't stop you from doing that if that is what you want to do.
