Disable swipe down search

iOS does not seem to provide a built-in option to completely disable the swipe-down gesture for Spotlight Search from the home screen. It seems this gesture is integrated into the iOS user interface.

It’s been an ongoing problem for years. Users, especially disabled users, need to be able to turn it fully off. Users end up getting the search way more often by accident than intentionally.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

To the best of my knowledge, it's not possible to disable the feature.

"Disabled" isn't a really helpful label in this case as it is far to broad a category. People who use wheelchairs might be labeled "disabled" but they may have normal hand dexterity and vision. You might want to explore the accessibilty features to see if there is something you can do to ameliorate the problem based on your specific needs and concerns.
