I've just bought a new Macbook Pro, setting it up from a Time Machine backup. I kept the same login password as on my old computer. I use this password to log in, but then whichever application or service is asking this password, it does not recognize it.
E.g.,
I've checked CAPS, keyboard, tried different variations... nothing works.
What should I do?

Are using you Mac password to try to unlock iCloud or are you using your iCloud password to unlock your Mac?
Mac password not recognized in Keychain etc
