.Mac additional email address

I have a @mac.com account. Back then you could create a different email address under a same .mac account. Not aliases but separate one meaning it has its own password and you can't see email transactions of the created address while with aliases you can see everything.

So back then I created another email address under my own .mac account for my family member and I completely forgot about its existence until recently.

My question is, is there a way to check the status of those email addresses today? Since the address is no longer used and I was wondering if I could delete it.

I also created one of these .Mac email addresses for a family member in 2006 and it is still in use. I just looked at the invoice and it was billed to me and the receipt was sent to my existing .Mac address.

These addresses also formed a separate Apple ID, now called Apple Account. To access this account you will have to know at least the password. However, once into the account it can be deleted. Apple provides the support document How to delete your Apple Account if that is your intention.
