Printing in Colour

My printer HP smart tank is working fine and I can print in colour from my iPAD no problem.

From my MacBook Air it only prints in black, white, gray scale.

I feel I have gone through all the obvious ways to try and click on to choose 'colour' but I simply cannot find where on earth that 'setting' is.

In a previous set-up my MacBook always asked 'black & white' or 'colour'. I want that option back!

Please tell me what I need to change to get the 'choice' back on my 'print' page

Hi Tesserax,

Thank you so much for your response. I have ensured that the software for my specific printer is up to date and my MAC OS is also up to date.

I have checked it's on the same WiFi network as my laptop, I have connected with Bonjour the AirPrint option, I've loaded my DNS settings (never done that before!) and still it's not printing in colour.

I have literally spent around 8 hours over the last 3 days to figure this out. I am going to wait until tomorrow and contact someone during office hours to help me.

I do appreciate you giving me points to check that I had not done (had not known were needed even!) but alas they didn't help me reach the ultimate goal!

Thank you. :-)

Thank you. I told you about the DNS because I think I have tried every permutation of everything!!

But clearly not.

I have just printed out the documents I really needed from my phone IN COLOUR!!!! On the same network!!

I have also sent in a request to HP for help tomorrow...if I don't sort this now I will be forever sending documents to my phone or iPad in order to print them. UGH.

anyway I appreciate your response, you certainly assisted me.
