Here at Nepal, we do not have any Apple Store and I got it from retailer (who got it from official distributor).
Would I be in other place, I would have asked for a exchange in the Apple Store.
So, am I stuck with the 8GB version or can I get an exchange here at Nepal as well?

Enjoy your new computer. Technology changes and there is always a new version of computer/etc. being released. You bought what was available when you were in the market for a computer.
That will depend on the retailer you bought it from.
Contact them and ask them about their return and refund policy.
Apple has no say on 3rd party vendors return policies.
