carplay starts on home screen and not music since ios 18.1 on iphone 15 plus

The day of ios 18.1 my carplay now starts on home screen where all the tiles are and may also start on apple maps with music and calendar. This is a issue because Maps uses data if the screen is on maps. My radio worked fine before this update. I have tried to unlink and remove the radio and the iPhone from the radio also forget network settings, removed music app from iPhone and reinstall. Reset the radio. I use the Shortcut app to start my music to play automatically which still works but on the wrong screen. I had no issues with ios 18 at all. Reddit has a lot of people who have the same issues.
