Duo you want to find out when each contact was added to the Address Book?
I don't believe you can find out when a contact was added. That's because the Address Book is a database and data entries are not cataloged by date entered.
Why do you need the date?
Thanks, OT. Perhaps I was naive to expect that a complete Contacts record would have some meta-data (like an automatic creation-date field invisible to most users until needed, and not editable) like a more thorough database (the likes of which I have made, used, and modified many times). Perhaps that is a worthy suggestion for future Contacts development...
My need is to locate a record entered into my wife's Contacts by an acquaintance who she just met in passing on a plane and can't remember the name, since she was exhausted from the travel. We know the date of the flight, whence the need for a date. Awkward and obscure, but then that's at least one reason to have metadata, no?
It would be good if there were some workaround, or maybe some hidden nook in the interface...
