Keynote file updates haven't saved

Hi,

I created a keynote file, made amendments over a number of days, saved each version and was able to open it the following day.

Once complete, I shared the final version and found that it had restored to the original version with none of the saved changes.

I've tried to "restore previous version" but it says there are no previous version.

Please help!

Thank you

There is no simple answer to this one. Too many possibilities, as well as dependencies on your specific setup.

For example, my first guess is that your system is configured to use iCloud for Keynote documents - this gives a kind of automatic backup, as well as facilitating sharing the presentation.

If you subsequently view the presentation when iCloud is not available (e.g. the network is down, you're offline, etc.) then you may fall back to a local copy of the file.

There are other cases, though. The hard part is that if Keynote is saying there are no previous versions, that's kind of source of truth.

The last resort would be to check a Time Machine backup if you have one.
