How to load & View a radiology scan on the Mac.

What is the procedure to allow me to read / view / analyze radiology images on the Mac or iPad. ?

It depends how the images are stored.


Some institutions send them as CD/DVD with a Windows viewer and DICOM and/or .jpg files. Some institutions store them in the cloud and give you a link and password for them etc.


You can view .jpg with any Mac app. GraphicConverter can open DICOM images.


OsiriX can open DICOMDIR folder structure more readily for browsing but it has been a while since I used it.
