Censorship in music

Good morning, and trigger warning if printed swear words are offensive.


I am trying your music app to see if I like it better than another one I use. I was listening to Taylor Swifts song Lavender Haze (great for my 6am drive to work played quietly). There is a line she sings "The 1950's **** they want from me". The word '****' is silenced. I have searched everywhere to find a way to turn that off. I don't need or want to be censored. That need should suffice. How do I turn off censorship of any and all music, on this platform please?

Taylor has both the explicit version and the clean version of that song available on Apple Music. You were listening to the clean version. If you do not have access to the explicit version, then you have Screen Time restrictions that prevent you from listening to explicit Music.


There are a couple of ways to allow Explicit songs in Apple Music:

Dolby Atmos will make no difference, but post the screenshots you see for these 2 locations. Using the example of the OP, go to Music and search "Lavender Haze", then scroll down and choose songs for this screenshot:


Then, post the screenshot from your Screen Time. The exact path did change a little bit in 18.1, but you can find it here with the example screenshot.
