New mail not downloading after Sequoia 15.0.1 upgrade

New emails from my gmail accounts are not downloading on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019), after the Sequoia 15.0.1 upgrade was completed. Any solutions?

Had already tried re-entering all my Google accounts into Mail (without first deleting them from Mail, though); and, that didn't work. Then, deleted a single account as a test, and re-entered only that Google account. Still, nothing happened. Quit Mail & reopened it; tried changing different settings. Only the older emails were visible, and I thought I maybe had lost all of the newer emails from that account, from the point when I had installed the new System update.

I restarted my Mac, and it seemed like emails were trying to be downloaded (which was encouraging), but nothing actually showed up. Restarted a couple more times in desperation (and also had to force quit some apps that had initially restarted themselves, automatically, but now wouldn't quit during the restarts).

FINALLY everything seems to work OK, for now.

Thanks for the reply, Al. I think my system is stable again. All I needed was a little push to keep going and try some different things.

I have been experiencing the same problem for days. I have spent many hours trying to find info to do something to no avail . It all started after installing 15.1. I am thinking about factory resetting the M1 Mac mini but fear I will lose important data from installed programs and the programs themselves. Not sure how can that help and think the new features of the OS for mails with Hide your email and "aliases" could be at fault. I don't have big enough external drive to run Time Machine and scare resources to screening software. --What can I do? If I delete that email(and several less important ones, I will loose all data.. If I create it anew, it would be a different one.

What about a backup iCloud before I reset the Mac?

If your email is on a IMAP server then the company that you deal with should have the email on their servers and if you can not get it in Mail then you should be able to log in where you originally created the email address and access it from there in a browser. Such companies like Yahoo, Gmail and Microsoft are just a few, but there literally hundreds.
