Download Youtube videos and edit in iMovie
How do I download you tube videos so that I can edit them in iMovie? I see many freeware tools out there, but seem to be risky. Any suggestions?

The problem with downloading videos from You Tube is that copyrights can be violated. You don't want to do that. We are not allowed on this forum to aid in violating copyright laws. So we cannot recommend downloading any You Tube video that would violate copyrights.
However, it is possible that the poster of the video indicates that it can be downloaded without copyright restriction. In that case, you can use QuickTimePlayer to make a screen recording of the video as it plays on your computer screen. Here are the instructions:
There also are apps out there that can make downloads of videos from the internet. You would need to do a search.
