Why can't I find the Scoopz app in my region on the App Store?

When I search the scoops app that shows real life videos the app will now pop up.

Is it because of my region?

I must know if you have any thing to fix this then I would appreciate it if you would email

me.

When I did a web search it was still providing links to the Mac App Store version. I didn't really want to go to all the trouble of opening the Mac App Store application on my computer to see if it was still there even.

I suspect that given the nature of the videos it was apparently showing, that that could have something to do with it no longer being available.

If it is telling you that it is unavailable, then there is nothing to be fixed. Apparently the developer has offered no way to contact them, so getting an answer from them for the reason would not be possible. It is the Developers responsibility to:

  • Offer Support link to customers for current apps
  • Pay yearly fee to have the app in the store
  • Maintain app with updates
  • Comply with submission guidelines

Not being able to get a hold of the developer of the app should tell you everything you need to know.

I suspect you are correct. It does show as Not Available in the Mac App Store. Of course no other information is provided and no contact information is available on the developer for any explanation. We know that Apple very rarely discusses with the public if they determine an App does not meet its submission guidelines, but that would be communicated with the developer.

Weird how apple apps it off the grid…

Not sure what that means. Were you able to contact the developer, they would have the answer. Last web search showed no sign of the developer and for an app in the App Store, there must be a Support link for users who have issues with their app. That should tell you something when the developer has ghosted its users.

Developers pay to have apps in either store for a year at a time. Once they choose not to renew their membership, the app will be removed. For example, they can pay Apple $99 in September 2023 and the app will be there until September 2024 if they do not renew their membership. And they could pay for their membership on the Google Play store in December 2023 and it will remain there until December 2024. Once the membership is not renewed in either store it will be removed. Of course the developer can also choose to remove the app before that time if they wish also.

What did you determine when you contacted the Scoopz developer? They are the only one that will be able to tell you about the availability of their app.

I’m still using it as we speak I seen someone comment on the app about this and a Google search brought me here

You can continue to use any app that is removed from the App Store. Apple does not go into your device and remove the app. You just will no longer be able to download it again if you remove it from your phone or if you upgrade to a new phone.
