Error message while trying to update Mac : due to restrictions set for this device, this app cannot be downloaded

I'm running Big Sur, and want to update to Ventura. My security settings allow for App Store and recognized developers. It's my personal computer.

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 11.7

Yes you, the new owner of this device may not have installed management profile.


But it certainly is behaving like there are management profiles installed from the Previous Owner


Change Profiles preferences on Mac


On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Profiles.


If you haven’t installed any configuration profiles, Profiles preferences isn’t available.


  1. Click the Add button  or the Remove button  to add or delete profiles.

I am not 100% sure if this computer is not Owned by " Team Name AppleInc.-Video Apps Engineering "


About this Mac from the Apple Icon Top Left icon


Should present the Age of this computer


macOS Ventura is compatible with these computers


If the computer does not appear and listed to upGrade to Ventura


That may partially answer the question as to Why ti troubles are
