Old Apple User Name not containing email address, just a name - cannot play songs on Apple Music that I had bought at that time

In the very beginning my apply account name was just a name and the email was stored elsewhere.

Under that account name I had purchased music which I can no longer play (error msg: computer is not authorized). Of course this is my 4th or 5th MacBook or Powerbook.

I know it is a long time ago when Apple changed the account name policy.

Any chance to regain access to those purchases, reinstall rights/authorizations etc.?

I did reinstall MacOS Sequoia but no improvement.

Thanks!

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.0

Try Official Apple Support. If I recall AOL screennames were once supported for Apple IDs. In many cases they should have been converted automatically to a new email based ID, but perhaps you missed the message when this was announced. If you can find the right address for the account you may be able to recover access to it via https://iforgot.apple.com/.
