I have SetApp, and CleanMyMac. After CleanMyMac had an major update, I’ve experienced FCP X crashing on startup. I had to uninstall CleanMyMac and reinstall FCP X. Has anyone experienced something similar. I have the latest version of FCP X and macOS 15.0.1

So many of us who have been around for (more time than we care to admit) know this fully well.
Cleanmymac is utter garbage, I consider it malware, and I am not alone.
The very notion that your mac needs a third party app to "clean" or "optimize it" is but a scam to separate wary users from their money. And to make matters worse, it does not just not help, it actually can thrash your system.
Mine is 613.3 MB but I have only been using the computer for a year.
Did you migrate the user?
As a sidenote - Both Motion and Compressor, were also corrupted because of CleanMyMac. All my editing applications. Very strange indeed...
I wish the forum supported pinning threads so this one could serve as a warning to others considering installing CMM.
I've had the same experience.
CleanMyMac is: 1-Unnecessary for macOS (but that sort of thing is needed on a. Windows system), and 2-PURE EVIL! I've known student and client who lost data because of CleanMyMac and apps like it.
Did you solve it? I have same problem and have a deadline tomorrow...
I uninstalled CleanMyMac and reinstalled FCP X and it works fine on my Mac.
