Give it a search. This problem exists for ages and Apple DOES NOT CARE or does not a solution. I am having this with my MAcPro, others with other models. Solutions include Cables, Connections, Hubs, whatever. Nothing helps. For me, it started with Sonoma. It's a bummer.

Edit says: updated to Sequoia 15.1 yesterday - still present. Each time I wake up the Mac dozens of did not eject properly message - depending on how long it slept.

FWIW, I have a theory about this issue. I think there is some tolerance problem between the port connections & cables. I have an M1 MacBook Air that can go days or a week sometimes without an issue. Other times I will get one or more disconnect messages for a couple days. Personally I don't think it's an OS problem. I could be wrong of course.

...just to add to this (as people might do a search as I did): two and a half weeks later, now on 15.1.1, this problem is definitely reduced - it has not disappeared completely, still have it now and then, I think it has to do with the Time Machine updates, but not to this annoying extent. I did not change any hardware, so this has to be an MacOS issue... Hope, it stays away completely with the coming updates...
