Passwords folder missing on iPad Air and iPhone since IOS update to 18.0.1

Passwords are working but the Passwords folder is missing from Settings on my iPad Air and iPhone XR, since the latest update to 18.0.1. Please advise how to access Passwords. Thank you.

Having updated to iOS/iPadOS 18.x, you will not find your saved Passwords in iPhone or iPad device settings. All saved passwords have been migrated to the new Passwords App.

Thank you LotusPilot, for putting me out of my misery! Like many others, I’ve also been experiencing problems with accessing my passwords on my iPad, I’ve tried various different approaches to sorting it out, but to no avail. I followed your advice and my passwords and the app itself (which had been removed from my Home Screen) are now working fine, just as they are meant to! I know other family members, who have the same issue, which I can now help them too!

I’m delighted to learn that you too have been able to resolve your difficulties, with the new Passwords App, using the provided guidance.

Introduction of the new App has not been as smooth as might have been expected. If you experienced the “blank page” issue experienced by many (including myself), having cleared the problem, I (and to the best of my knowledge, others) have not experienced any recurrence of the issue.

My Passwords app had been working but today it is blank. Can you give me some advice?

As outlined in an earlier reply...

If you only see a blank page when you open the Passwords App, assuming that the Passwords App has been added to the Dock...

With the Passwords App open to the blank page, swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to expose the Dock - tap the Password App icon - then tap New Window. This should open another Passwords App window showing your stored Passwords.
