You don’t. You will have to configure the Calendar using the new tools described in What’s new in iOS 18 - Apple Support. Or get a more powerful calendar from the App Store, such as WeekCal or Fantastical.

Why? Because you're not happy with what Apple is currently offering. So, you can sit around and be unhappy, hoping that Apple may one day change it to suit you. Or, you can go find a calendar that works for you NOW. Personally, I'd go with the choice that relieves that unhappiness.

Right? I’ve played with the font scale and the pinch option to arrive at the monthly view and found now I use the iPhone calendar more frequently than the iPad. Surprised someone didn’t mention this earlier I don’t ever update until a second IOS version proves stable, so thought I would be late comer

Thank you so much for sharing that tip! Arbitrary changes with no option to decline them are a pain. My Take Note reminders are sufficient! Thanks again!
