How to revert back the calendar view which is prior to the release of iOS 18

How’s that Lawrence? Apparently all of us relatively smart people are not as smart as we’d hoped. Perhaps you could be helpful and be more specific how it works so we can understand better - and be happier about this “up”grade.

Lawrence do you work for Apple??? If this is so easy, could you let the thousands upon thousands of users… probably now in the millions and millions, know how to work around this fiasco and see a full day of 30 appointments easily!!!

I agree-I just permanently turned off all updates. Sick of calling apple daily (5x now) at all these changes that improve nothing. I see someone suggested using a different calender. WHY? I paid a grand to make calls, see the flipping date, text, check emails, basics. When the most basic of functions-oh forget it-apple couldn’t care less-suffice to say I’m seeing my day planner from 5 years ago and it’s beyond irritating. You just lost any future sales from me you are exhausting in your drive for being complicated on steroids. Get a life, take a walk, smoke a jount but leave our stuff alone already.

You seem to be the odd person out, Lawrence. Everyone came here to complain about your team’s new design and to ask you to allow us to revert it back to the cleaner, less busy layout that was less distracting and complicated. Apple is known for its elegant, minimalist design. We don’t need additional, useless and cluttering features on an app that already served its purpose. If we wanted that, we would, as you suggest, go to the App Store and download another app. You should realize that the people on this forum are dedicated-enough Apple users to attempt to reach out to the company and request a reconsideration. These are the customers Apple should be courting, and it runs the risk (as you saw with several commenters) of losing the very people who made the brand a mainstay despite the price premium.

Right? I’ve played with the font scale and the pinch option to arrive at the monthly view and found now I use the iPhone calendar more frequently than the iPad. Surprised someone didn’t mention this earlier I don’t ever update until a second IOS version proves stable, so thought I would be late comer

I don't like to be a person who is averse to change, but this iOS upgrade to the calendar month function is terrible.

I want the old version back

Just called Apple Support and I am told this garbage is the only thing available.

It is not brilliant for all of us. First, I can still only see six hours of the days. Second, I leave my phone locked vertically, because so many of my apps are challenging in landscape mode. Therefore, to use the Calendar in landscape mode, I have to unlock my phone, look at my calendar, then lock it again. Any other ideas?

Have you updated to iOS 18.3? There were some reported changes in Calendar.

Or, you could take the suggestion given that you find another calendar app that better suits you.

I hate the new calendar format! It’s more difficult for me to keep track of my appointments. Please, please, bring back the weekly view format! Why change something that already worked beautifully? You could have just added the new view options instead of taking the old view options away.

I Loved iPhone since Apple 4. But in the last five years Apple has been “updating” or “upgrading” things that were unnecessary. I cannot use or understand how to navigate my calendar to view the full month, and the ability to view one day like we used to be able to do. I loved Apple for its simplicity and there are constantly so many changes that are no longer user friendly that I will not be purchasing another Apple phone. I feel like since Steve Jobs sadly passed away, so did the Apple products that made life more simple, not clunky and polluted with all these confusing updates. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
