How to revert back the calendar view which is prior to the release of iOS 18

How can you revert back the the calendar view prior to the release of iOS 18. This new view is horrible and makes viewing my various events each day more difficult. Apple should give users an option of opt-in on changes while allowing you to keep what was perfectly fine.

When in calendars click on a particular month to show 1 month only. Click at top of screen to left of search icon. Choose ‘compact’. That should give you the visual you want. I’m so happy I can use the old display as hate what appears after I did the update.

As you would know if you had read the rest of the thread, that is not an option. You can let Apple know your thoughts here:

And, you can also see if any of the hundres of other calendar apps in the App Store better meet your needs.

The new calendar is visually confusing. Horrible change!

Interesting. I haven't noticed any major differences.

Have you told Apple what you think:

And, you can also see if any of the hundreds of other calendar apps in the App Store better meet your needs. I've used Fantastical a lot. Week Cal is also very feature-rich.

Oh no! Please return the prior monthly view. The primary reason I stay with Apple is for the calendar. Please. Please. Long time customer. Please.

No one here in this user-to-user forum can return anything to the prior state. You can let Apple know how you feel here:

Meanwhile, you can look at some of the hundreds of calendar apps in the App Store and see if there is one that better meets your needs. Take a look at Week Cal and Fantastical.

Or, if this was the only reason you stayed with an iPhone, sell it and buy an Android phone.

Lawrence do you work for Apple??? If this is so easy, could you let the thousands upon thousands of users… probably now in the millions and millions, know how to work around this fiasco and see a full day of 30 appointments easily!!!

No one posting in this user-to-user forum works for Apple.

It is not brilliant for all of us. First, I can still only see six hours of the days. Second, I leave my phone locked vertically, because so many of my apps are challenging in landscape mode. Therefore, to use the Calendar in landscape mode, I have to unlock my phone, look at my calendar, then lock it again. Any other ideas?

I Loved iPhone since Apple 4. But in the last five years Apple has been “updating” or “upgrading” things that were unnecessary. I cannot use or understand how to navigate my calendar to view the full month, and the ability to view one day like we used to be able to do. I loved Apple for its simplicity and there are constantly so many changes that are no longer user friendly that I will not be purchasing another Apple phone. I feel like since Steve Jobs sadly passed away, so did the Apple products that made life more simple, not clunky and polluted with all these confusing updates. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Please Apple… why did you change this? I can no longer see my whole day! I know what month it is … I know what day it is… I need to know what I have scheduled and when for my full day… easily. Could you just ask some users before deciding something on our behalf that doesn’t help one tiny bit !

Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:

Apple has access to unfathomably huge amounts of user data. They also do extensive alpha and beta testing. You can even be part of the beta testing if you want.

There are also hundreds (thousands, possibly) of third-party calendar apps in the App Store. Perhaps one of them would better suit you. WeekCal is frequently recommended.

I can’t see anything well on the new calendar update. Please return to the previous version which worked just fine! Why fix things that aren’t broken?

Why are you telling us users in this user-to-user forum, where no one can change anything? Tell Apple→Product Feedback - Apple

But meanwhile you might learn how to use and customize the calendar; You can learn how to use the new calendar features here→What’s new in iOS 18 - Apple Support

No one here in this user-to-user forum can "bring back" anything from the previous version of Calendar. You can let Apple know your thoughts here:

Meawhile, you may find that one of the many hundreds of other calendar apps in the App Store better meet your needs. Week Cal is very traditional.

Meanwhile, there are hundreds, probably even thousands, of other calendar apps available in the App Store. Two that are frequently recommended are Fantastical and Week Cal. But there are lots of others if those don't appeal to your taste.
