How to revert back the calendar view which is prior to the release of iOS 18

How can you revert back the the calendar view prior to the release of iOS 18. This new view is horrible and makes viewing my various events each day more difficult. Apple should give users an option of opt-in on changes while allowing you to keep what was perfectly fine.

When in calendars click on a particular month to show 1 month only. Click at top of screen to left of search icon. Choose ‘compact’. That should give you the visual you want. I’m so happy I can use the old display as hate what appears after I did the update.

I just did something which helped! If you go to setting/accessibility(display&textsize) and go to Larger Text. At the bottom you have a scale you can adjust the font size. I dropped down one font and got both monthly and daily back to more visibility. Turning on or off larger text doesn’t seem to matter in the calendar from what I see. Merry Christmas 🎄

Please Apple… why did you change this? I can no longer see my whole day! I know what month it is … I know what day it is… I need to know what I have scheduled and when for my full day… easily. Could you just ask some users before deciding something on our behalf that doesn’t help one tiny bit !

Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:

Apple has access to unfathomably huge amounts of user data. They also do extensive alpha and beta testing. You can even be part of the beta testing if you want.

There are also hundreds (thousands, possibly) of third-party calendar apps in the App Store. Perhaps one of them would better suit you. WeekCal is frequently recommended.

I don't like to be a person who is averse to change, but this iOS upgrade to the calendar month function is terrible.

Just called Apple Support and I am told this garbage is the only thing available.

But personally, I have never liked the Apple Calendar in any of its incarnations, which is why I use a 3rd party calendar that, in addition to a wide choice of views, has many other features such as event templates that can insert a frequently used event into the calendar with one tap, customizable icons for events (and the ability to search for an icon), grouped events that can be inserted as one item but will create several events, and many other nice features.

I see someone suggested using a different calender. WHY? I paid a grand to make calls, see the flipping date, text, check emails, basics.

Why? Because you're not happy with what Apple is currently offering. So, you can sit around and be unhappy, hoping that Apple may one day change it to suit you. Or, you can go find a calendar that works for you NOW. Personally, I'd go with the choice that relieves that unhappiness.

I can’t see anything well on the new calendar update. Please return to the previous version which worked just fine! Why fix things that aren’t broken?

Agree. I found it slightly helpful to have it in Details view. But, there’s too much gap between the weeks. It does allow you to pinch to contract or expand the view, making it, again, slightly easier to see. But, the only way to view my Apple calendar and see everything how I need to see it is on my iPad now. :(
