Why is my iMac restarting during macOS installation?

Just changed the HD from my 2017 iMac for a SSD.

I had previously created a boot flash drive (with Ventura OS), but the reinstall process never ends. It went throughout the night, sometimes with the apple logo and the incomplete status bar, and after a while it would restart the computer and do the same thing.

Any ideas here?

Try Safe boot...

Start with this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

If need. Boot into Restore mode,CMD+r keys...

Look at top of screen for Utilities menu...

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.

Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.

Reinstall the OS.
