screen specs Imac 21.5 2017 4k vs Imac 21.5 2019 'nothing'

just got a 2019 Imac to replace my 2017. The 2017 shows up as '4k' but the 2019 does not. I am old school so am no expert but I figured that the 2019 doesn't mention '4k' because by then the 4k was already 'nothing special' because of 5k, am I right?


Not that I obsess over the latest tech, but what I mean is the 2019 model I have does have 4k, right? I can see I can play 4k video so it seems pretty obvious I am not far wrong, if I am at all.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 13.7

He DID say that the 21.5" 2019 iMac is 4K!


Note: just because you can open and play a 4K movie does not mean your screen must be 4K. Your mac will automatically scale the video as necessary to fit your screen
