Siri not responding on iPhone 16 Pro Max

Had the same issue, I clicked the "Reset hidden Suggestions" and then Siri started to work again, hopefully it works for others.

Have you tried restarting it?

After updating to IOS 18.1 with AI it works fine.

Just go to apple intelligence & Siri and toggle on Siri there. For some reason it’s off in the new iPhone

That worked for me. AlI I had to do was turn on Content and Privacy Restrictions and, hey Siri is working. TGBTG

Talked to ATT and Apple tech support! ATT says many complaints, Apple tech support says they don’t know about this but they had me turn off the side button function and it seems to be working. No one at Apple has heard of these issues. I can’t believe that with all these messages on the message board. After I turned off the side button function Siri worked fine then I turned the side button back on and both seem to be working. I don’t know if this is gonna last because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t but you guys can try this little trick. Hope that helps.

It happened with the update- SOLUTION- go into settings scroll down to Siri click that then click Siri responses, most likely it’s on automatic so switch it to prefer spoken responses then power phone off and back on and try it out!! This worked for me and hubby!

As suggested here 7 Proven ways to Fix Siri not responding on iPhone 16 pro Max I went to Siri in settings, there clicked on Siri responses and choose prefer spoken responses instead of automatic, after this as suggested did a force restart and now it's working fine.

I went to settings—screen time—content and privacy restriction, and I turned them on. This really helped me fix the issue. I don’t have to yell at Siri to respond or wait on Siri to answer when she does respond. Siri responds immediately now.

I tried everything and finally found a solution that worked! Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions -> Allowed Apps & Features -> make sure Siri & Dictation are toggled to "on"

Ok so the only way I can get it to work is to set it to set it to Hey Siri the first option just makes hre go humm so after going through all the steps and them not working i changed the setting back to Hey Siri and it works every time I hope this helps someone

Hi tried again last night turned off Siri went back in and it ask for me to say the 5 phrases and bingo it’s back to normal with CarPlay aswell I ticked say hi Siri and Siri and press side Buttons on my setting English speaking everything else on maybe try that good luck

I recently just realised my Siri wasn’t responding and it ticked me off. But I went to the Siri setting, clicked on talk to Siri and turned off the press side button for Siri and when I spoke “hey Siri” it worked instantly. Good luck guys lol

never know Siri not responding would annoy me this much although Siri itself is annoying sometimes with it’s unwarranted random responses 😂😂

So I tried all the steps and it finally work for me. First is went to my setting and seen that hey sir and Siri were already selected. I turn them off then went to my content section on my phone and found out it wasn’t turned on then I tired to say Siri didn’t work. So I turn my phone off then on then re set up Siri again and it worked for me. Keep in mind it took about 10-15 minutes

My iPhone 16 pro max wasn’t letting me to speak to Siri and I only got it for Christmas but now since I’ve powered it off and turned it back on and went onto settings > Apple intelligence & Siri > Talk & type to Siri it could be off and if it is turn it onto “ Siri “ or “ hey siri “ the u go press off again then the “ Siri “ or “ hey Siri” again then u will do the speaking thing and then u can finally speak to Siri again
