I don’t understand that move Favorites to the middle of nowhere in Photos App. I use it every time when I open App. Now I need to scroll and find it. How bad was that decision by Apple Developers’ Team?

Pardon me for disliking Apple's "placement" of the Favorite photos. Let me rephrase this so that you can understand the simplicity that I am trying to convey.

I want to be able to place it where I want it. Not in some section that I have to dig through just to find it. It was fine where it was. I didn't have to take these EXTRA time-consuming steps to find a favorite photo that I want to send or just to browse through my photo's. I LOVE the ability to "favorite" a photo and have it in its own group without having to go through a whole process of putting it in a folder with extra steps just to view it.

So once again Apple DID NOT seriously think this through. If I wanted an Android and the digging I would buy an Android.

Have you told Apple how you feel?

I love the redesign of Photos and have let Apple know.

Wow. Like Photos update? You seem to be in the minority. I have avoided updating because of all the concerns I have seen online. YouTube, etc. I have over 300 albums and don't want to lose them. Have read that all photos are scrambled and not able to sort. Have spoken with Apple Help and they do admit that there are issues with this new Photos set up. I like what I have had for years. Normally am keen to update for new features but not this time. Can get no reassurance from anyone that my albums will still be there after the update.

You could also scroll to the bottom of the Photos app, tap Customize & Reorder, and put Favorites (and anything else you want to move) to wherever you want it. For Favorites move the Utilities folder, which has it. I moved it to just below the photo library, so it is the first thing I see when I open the app.

Lawrence let me see if I can “dumb it down” for you. I want the ability to place it wherever I want. Was that simple enough?

I have reorganized/reordered as in your screenshot. I’d prefer it simple and not have to dig to just put it in some resemblance of where I desire it. There are other folders I would really like to place after “favorites”.

Some of us tend to like things to be simple as we’ve become accustomed to with Apple products.

The only product in my home that isn’t Apple is 1-Bose speaker & a PC. I have a PC because I grew up with PC’s and in my work as a civil servant.

I have Apple TV, iPad Pro 12.9, Watch Ultra 2, iPhone 16 Pro, 3-home pod mini’s along with one of the first iPods and iPhone 5. I’ve had numerous versions of iPhones & iPads. I’m quite used to Apple changing things and improving them.

Also your attitude and downgrading of other users in this thread is deplorable. You would be much better received if you would adjust your attitude toward those trying to understand their products. They may not be as tech savvy as you. You talk down to them and it seems you don’t like assisting them. I see your need to be wanted and useful but your attitude overshadows the good you can bring.

Thought about that too, but think about it, won't we have to continue to move any "favorited" photos moving forward into this created Album Labeled "Favorites"? I doubt it'll sync up Automatically you know what I mean? I tried multiple things guys, and after playing with "Customize & Reorder" I found that the only solution is to keep Favorites in the "Pinned Collections" for good. No choice. Just think of the Favorite folder called "Pinned Collections now". That's what I'm doing. I unchecked most all the boxes in "Customize & Reorder" but left Pinned Collections Checked (up Top 1st) and Albums checked (showing 2 in order).

Recent Photos (stays up top no matter what, so leave unchecked in Albums or you're just doubling up. The only other suggestion I would add is placing Videos in Pinned Collections after Favorites.

I just wish they'd leave the few software options that work and START working on all the bugs in these iOS updates like the "Double Word" popups when using Audio Text or better yet, FIX AUTO-CORRECT Geez.

Apple needs to change it back , we did not ask for This it’s absolutely makes no sense 😑

There are probably over 1,000 features of Apple products that no one asked for. So what? I really like the redesigned Photos app, it’s a real improvement over the previously “clunky” UI.
