I can no longer search my photos on my Mac since the update today. No matter what I type in the search bar it says 'no results'. The search facility works on my iPhone though.

I just upgraded to Sequoia 15.0.1 and am encountering the same problem. When I went into iPhoto, I got a "Welcome" banner with a list of all the new upgrades. After I clicked past that, I saw that everything in the left sidebar had been totally rearranged, and now I can't use the Search function. Over the years, I have created many keywords for searching, and none of these work anymore.

It's been a while. Plenty of time for photos to catch up. Still, nothing! If I search, it just shows me the past month's photos. Nothing from all of the years I have in there. What's happening? Help!!!
Finally, it is working. But it took a while. One day it just started working... So frustrating.
And then there is the change in the view of the new libray. Why do they feel the need to change things so much?

Sorry to hear that - I left mine for a day after the update and it was fine. I have 15,000 photos and although I haven't checked every one, I have done random searches and things seem to be ok. You may need to contact Apple?
Had exactly the same issue updating to 15.1 from 14.7.1. On opening Photos and doing a search, a note appeared saying Photos is indexing to improve search results (or words to that effect) but 24 hours and no change. Also noticed that Spotlight, whilst generally working, was not working for photos. I rebuilt the library (hold Option & Command whilst opening photos) and on completion Indexing commenced. Still indexing 12 hours later but I have a large library so not surprised. Search definitely working now.
You may have to wait for Photos to get all adjusted and scanned. See what it's like in a day, and let us know....
Cool. I just switched momenta ago, and Search isn't working for me, either. I'll wait!
Recent update here too and now my photos won't allow search either. Would love a fix soon, APPLE!
Hi - I waited a day and the search function working now. Time it takes to update may possibly be determined by the number of photos you have stored?
