Have just updated to iPad OS18 on my iPad Mini 6 and photo thumbnails are tiny! They can be enlarged, but only temporarily. How can I get them to stay a decent size so I can actually see them?!

I don't even have the 3 across option this is the worst feature they could have done especially for people who are vision impaired. Apple please fix this so we can make it remember how we want to see our photos NOT how you think we should.
You can pinch on the photos view to zoom in or out and make the thumbnails larger or smaller.

Is there any way of making them larger permanently though? That is, back to the size they were before the software update? (Five in a row rather than eleven as now.)

Thanks very much for this. I’ve just tried zooming to three, and it will stay at three, but not five for some reason. Very odd!
I don't like the tiny pho sizes. Is there a way to go back to the previous software version.
