Hi guys,
After updating my iPhone from iOS 17.7 to 18, I encountered an error with my work email. It's showing "IMAP server is not responding."Our mail server uses TLS version 1.1. Does iOS 18 support this version? Can you confirm?

None of this advice is relevant to this issue. As I replied to someone else above, the very same mail account can send mail using iOS mail app - which means the phone can authenticate the account AND TLS works. The issue is the the iOS and iPadOS mail app fails to get new mail from imap servers. This is a bug. . It’s very disappointing to see Apple make a mistake in such a primary function.

Did you try the solution that helped many people on here? Delete all Mail settings, RESTART, then open Mail and redo all settings. The / never worked for me.
My gray/ turns black. Seems to be working better though. Thank you.

Thank you Vaughn_NZ your forward slash solution solved my problem. All images from my security cameras are downloading to Mail once again, and mail is coming in a timely manner. Such a relief.

Same issue here : iPad with only my iCloud account set up in Apple Mail app !
Message : Network error (POSIX 50).
Works well with my iPhone and Mac Apple Mail app
Did you do the other 4 steps before doing step 5 with the forward slash?
