Working in Numbers app

hi, i have no directions to learn how to use numbers. I hope you can -please help;’



  1. i by mistake made the contents of 1st column into the second column
  2. how can i change it back? What is in the B column should be the A column
  3. 3. What is the best way to learn how to use this program? I’m working with a n iPad 13”

You could look at the iPad User Guide for Numbers to guide you: Numbers User Guide for iPad - Apple Support.


To address your immediate issue, you could delete column A if it has no data you want to use. To do so, tap the “A” column (in the column bar where you see the column names A, B, C…) and choose Delete Column. If you want to keep the data in column A, tap the “B” column to select it and drag it to the left, before the “A” column.

Also have a look at the built-in templates. You can learn a lot from them.


As for switching column A and B it can be a little tricky on the iPad but you can try tapping somewhere in the table, tapping and holding the column letter at the top and dragging right or left and dropping it into the border between two columns. With a little practice it becomes easy.
