I am unable to move boarding passes to my Apple wallet

In the past I was able to move boarding passes to my apple wallet. Recently, I have been unable to do so. When I click on add boarding pass to wallet a blue line appears across the top of the screen but the boarding pass does not move to the wallet. There is no button on the top right to add the pass. Meanwhile, my wife was able to add her boarding pass to her apple wallet and I sent it to her. This is not an airlne problem, but appears to just be my iphone. I have tried turning it off and turning it on again and have also deleted all of the old boarding passes which had passed their use by date. If anyone can suggest a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
