MacBook Battery Does Not Charge For A Split Second

So I was using Al Dente for a few weeks and I decided to uninstall it using the instructions (set charging limit to 100%, wait until it starts charging, turn off the app, uninstall it). But whenever I plug in my MacBook it says


Power Source: Power Adapter

Battery is not charging


and the icon is a charging cable and not a lightning bolt for a split second before it starts charging and the icon changes to a lightning bolt. If you have a MacBook can you plug it in when it is not at 100% and tell me if yours does the same.
