Sustain pedal doesn't work in Logic

My sustain pedal doesn’t sustain (I lift my hand from playing a chord with the pedal down the chord stops). I’m at my wit’s end trying to figure out what the problem is.

My setup:

  • Logic Pro 11.0.1
  • Intel MacBook Pro
  • Akai MPK249 Keyboard Controller

So far I have

  • Rebooted my computer
  • Swapped out the.pedal
  • Reversed polarity on the pedal
  • Swapped out the keyboard with a Launchkey49
  • Confirmed Logic is receiving CC64 when I press the pedal
  • Selected “Bypass all Control Surfaces”
  • Deleted and reinstalled Control Surfaces
  • Deleted ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.ca
  • Ensured I don't have any filters set in "Project Settings / Midi / Input Filter
  • Tried it it MainStage - still no sustain, but I can see the pedal graphic blink as I press the pedal

Nothing has worked.  Does anyone have any idea why my sustain pedal won’t sustain?
