How to move text in an iMovie title
I select a Titles type and drop it onto a clip in iMovie timeline. I add text. How do I move the text to another position on the clip?

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no feature in the titles options in iMovie to change the screen position of a specific title. You would need to create a title transparency in another app, such as the Preview app on your Mac, and then import and overlay it as a Picture in Picture in the iMovie timeline. That way you can adjust the size and position of the title.
If you want to try the transparency screen you can create a transparency screen with the Preview app. on your Mac as follows: Put any random photo, or duplicate photo, on your desktop. Click on it to open it in the Preview app. In Preview, do Edit/Select All, Edit/Delete. That will leave you with a blank transparency screen. (If you receive a "Do you want to convert" prompt, click yes. ) Now click on Tools/Annotate/Text. That will create a text box on your transparency screen with the work "Text" in it. Choose your font, text color, and size by clicking on the "A" button on the toolbar. Make the text size larger than you want because later it will be easier to make it smaller than to make it larger. Type in your text. Save to your desktop. Drag the saved text transparency into the iMovie project that contains your previously exported movie clip. Place your text clip in the upper timeline above the movie clip. (See the first screen shot above.) Select the movie clip by clicking on it. Then click on the overlay icon (the one that looks like overlapping squares) in the tool bar at the upper right of the project screen. Choose Picture in Picture from the selection box that appears. The overlaid transparency clip will be displayed on the preview screen, overlaid on the video clip, as shown in the first screen shot above. Use the adjustment handles on the transparency clip overlay to adjust the size and position of the clip. Then export the project to your desktop and it should look like the second screen shot above, with the text at the top of the clip.
You can also create a transparency title in the KeyNote app on your Mac, and import that into iMovie and overlay it as per the above.
