Clips has deleted a project after it reaches the hour limit

If the file is not in a recent backup, I don't know what to tell you other than to suggest that, in the future, you use a more appropriate tool for a long video. The built in Camera and iMovie sound as if they would work better. iMovie doesn't have a 1 hour limit.
