Time machine Backup connection break out

**** friends, I am using Airport Time Capsule for Time machine. Iam trying to backup for the first time in 2TB time machine. I know if the backup process is interrupted on the way doing backup, it will again continue after getting connection. But what my problem is, do it really matters if the connection is broken in very first backup and completed partial backup in second process? Every time i setup a backup disk and start running time machine first time in new disk it never complete the process at once. It always complete its backup in second process. Can i use such type of disk for recover OS as well as data in future?

Hoping for the soonest reply.

Thanks for the info.

Please open AirPort Utility on your Mac

Select the Time Capsule

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears and another window will open with Time Capsule settings

Click on the Disks tab

Click Erase Disk

Click on the Zero Out Data option for Erase Method

Click Erase

The process will take some time......approximately 6-8 hours

When the erase has completed, try to run another backup

Note......The Time Machine backups cannot be used to recover the operating system on your Mac. You would have to first install the operating system again on the Mac and then use a Time Machine backup to restore the data back to the Mac.

So, you are saying that your Mac is connected to one of the 3 LAN <--> Ethernet ports on the back of the Time Capsule?

Or, are you trying to back up the Mac over the Wi-Fi network?

Is your Time Capsule "tall" shaped, like a "tower"......or......is your Time Capsule "flat" shaped. If your Time Capsule is "flat" shaped, look on the bottom of the Time Capsule for the model number. It might be embedded in the foam pad base.

The model number starts with an "A" followed by 4 numbers.
