How to delete history for Quicktime when right click on Dock on APP

I cleared recent items from Apple menu -> Recent Items and Quicktime player -> file -> open recent items, but still recent items appear when i do right click on APP on dock.

Kill the app and removed from dock did not help. Online help also not worked. Any pointers ?

MacOS version: Sonoma 1.5

Mac mini (M2, 2023)

Method 1: opening Quicktime > File > Open recent > clear menu. But now, the clear button is not clickable. hide the Finder and Trash icons from MacOS doc I need a simple way to hide the Finder and Trash icons from the doc. These days Spotlight search is so good, I don't use the Finder or Trash icon to open those apps. They are a waste of space and inflexible when I want other apps to show up in a specific order. Kill the app and removed from dock did not help.

Have you tried restarting the Dock?

From Terminal:

killall Dock

followed by Enter/Return.

That would quit and relaunch the Dock.
