Why am I being charged for music I am downloading when I have 3 month of trail?

I have a 3 month trial for $10.99 that ends Aug 1 2024. Why am I being charged for music I am downloading?

Apple Music allows you to listen to any song and also download any song for offline use while you have a subscription. You can still purchase songs if you want using iTunes. You own a purchased song even if you do not have a subscription and are allowed to play it on other devices or burn it to a CD, which cannot be done with a downloaded song from a subscription.
