LG C2 55” in primary bedroom-Sonos Arc, Sonos One SL rear channels, and Sonos sub. Typically listen to shows and movies with this Sonos system at sound level 12. The numeric value of which can be found in the Sonos app by tapping on the circular speaker icon which shows “Your SYSTEM”, allowing you to turn on and off individual speakers and set their volumes individually. I enjoy listening to music a little louder at sound level 16. Using Apple Watch Series 6 Titanium’s Noise utility app(icon is yellow with an ear symbol) from approximately 7’ to 7’ 1/2 feet away I get readings ranging between mid 60s to lower 70s dB at this sound level 16. This is with Dolby Atmos turn “OFF” in the Apple Music app settings. To achieve a similar decibel level with Dolby Atmos set to “AUTOMATIC” in the Apple Music app settings I must increase the sound level to 58. I do find the music is much more enveloping, rich, higher resolution & fidelity, and mire enjoyable with it turned to ”AUTOMATIC”. Furthermore, If I go into the Sonos app and tap on “TV Audio”, it indicates Dolby Atmos. However if I set Dolby Atmos to “OFF” in the Apple Music settings, it sounds OK-ish but definitely not as nice and checking in the Sonos app with it turned “OFF” it shows Dolby MAT 2.0. Yes they will need to push a firmware update to fix this. It 100% is an issue with the Dolby Atmos triggered in Apple Music settings. I hope this helps someone.
I also noticed that the lyrics scroll is approximately five seconds to fast out of sync on the TV screen.
